For SIM, you will need to go to foundation study first before proceed to diploma. However, you will need to have 3 O levels pass inclusive of English. Assuming you failed your English, then you need to take an entry English test.
After your 6 months foundation, then you can proceed to 15 months of diploma program. All in all, 21 months. The diploma in my opinion is not bad, but my suggestion is not to stop at SIM diploma, you can continue with the degree courses offer by SIM and get credit exemption with that. Some of the universities offer by SIM is pretty good, comparable to NUS in my opinion; example UB, University Of Birmingham, UOL which is part of LSE, University of Sydney etc...all these are older and very well establish schools.

Thank you so much! I think I'm just gonna apply for Foundation studies in SIM since I meet the requirements. But if I get RP (which is pretty unlikely now) then might as well stick with that.

Yes, I believe this should be your strategy with Plan A and B. Believe it or not, eventually you will see most of the Poly graduates in SIM doing their degree courses. It is not easy to get into the local University. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the ration is somewhere 30% or less.

Alternatively, you can also consider BCAA, you just need 3 credits O level pass. That is English, Math and one other subject. If you failed your math, you will need to sit an entry IQ Test. BCAA diploma is gov by MOE and if you do well, you still can proceed to local university.
