Hi I'm looking to purchase 2x Dell U2417H
Need some advice with the wiring options
I'm looking to do a Daisy Chain

1) Can I connect my PC to Monitor 1 via HDMI to HDMI?
2) Or HDMI out to DP/mini DP in?

I understand that Monitor 1 to Monitor 2 has to be DP out to DP/mini DP in
2) Would it be possible for Monitor 1 to Monitor 2 has to be DP out to HDMI in? By any chance. Or strictly DP/mini DP in for Monitor 2?

HDMI no daisy chaining at all I think

Check if your monitor supports Multi-Stream Transport (MST). If it doesn't, you can't daisy chain the monitors.

I am using U2417H daisy Chain. Can only use the displayport for daisy chain. No Hdmi on any part.

So if your graphic card does not have dp then you cannot do daisy chain.

Does your Monitor flickr sometimes? I have both U2417H and when i set it to daisy chain 2nd monitor will always flickr sometimes.

I don't know. If the USB-C support thunderbolt, maybe. I know thunderbolt support DP.

Yes. If supported, you can output via USB-C. Check with the manufacturer if your equipment supoorts DisplayPort over USB-C ( https://www.displayport.org/what-is-displayport-over-usb-c/ )

For example, my HP Elite X2 convertible can output to HDMI monitor with just a USB-C to HDMI adapter.
