Anyone recieve the below promotion?

#Dash Easy Savings Account S$50 Cashback Promotion Terms and Conditions apply. This Promotion is valid from 23 July 2015 to 31 August 2015 (“Promotion Period”), and is open to selected existing Standard Chartered customers, who received an invitation via SMS to participate in the Promotion. To qualify for a S$50 Cashback, you must have an existing Dash Easy Savings Account, and deposit incremental fresh funds of no less than $8,000 into your Dash Easy Savings Account by 31 August 2015.* To determine the amount of “incremental fresh funds”, the average daily balance (“ADB”) in your Dash Easy Savings Account for any calendar month during the Promotion Period shall be compared to the ADB in the calendar month immediately before the Promotion Period.* For the purposes of this Promotion, fresh funds refer to funds not originating from any existing account with the Bank or funds that are not withdrawn and re-deposited with the Bank within 30 days of the Promotion Period. I got the email but not the SMS. So, dont think I am part of those selected customers. Plus, to get the $50, have to deposit 8000 on Aug 1 for the whole month of Aug to hit the average daily balance. Until I receive the SMS, will just assume I not eligible.

Ya, i received this too. T&C are markedly different from previous promo. Now need to maintain incremental (vs prev mth) ADB of $8k for a calendar month during the promo period. And take note of the following clause too:

6. The Bank reserves the right to debit and/or forfeit any Cashback without compensation if:
a) you terminate your Dash Easy Savings Account and/or otherwise withdraw your
incremental fresh funds prior to the crediting of any Cashback; and/or

Also, definition of fresh funds applies.

So i will transfer in $8k on 1Aug and maintain it until get the cashback. Cashback credited by 30Sep2015, then withdraw balances from Dash. Effective interest will be minimal 3.75% pa. Not too bad.

I may hv to maintain deposit of more than $8k in Aug, if in previous month i have balances and transfers in/out of dash account or any acct at SCB .

The T&C did not indicate how long to keep the $8k in the account, just need to deposit before 31 Aug 15.

Good pt. Yes, from my reading too, should be June2015 as the reference month.
