Ah... get a 3.5" HDD external which is cheaper.
Backup do not need to carry around.
And cheaper than 2.5" type.

But 3.5" need external power adapter which is a hassle if short of power outlet.

Backup is usually done at home.
Store in a safe place.
Others such as speed rotation is fast enough to do the backup once.
No need to connect all the time.

Unless backup meant to be 2nd storage to use which serve no purpose.
Connect, backup, disconnect.
To avoid running the HDD for no reason, may fail sooner.

Unless TS is consider OTG then portable is suitable

Thanks for the information. I used 3.5" but HDD now CRC error. Any reliable and cheap one to recommend?

Toshiba 3.5" 7200rpm from Tradepac:
4TB: $153
6TB: $256
8TB: $306

Desktop 3.5" HDD can be powered solely from USB ports? Just asking coz i nvr really try before. At most, i tried on ssd and 2.5" laptop HDD nia.
No.
Desktop 3.5" HDD need power supply 12V.
USB is 5V hence suitable for 2.5" needs.
