Data connected but unable to do basic services

Hi all,

I've been experiencing an issue with my phone this past week where my phone says i'm connected with 4G/3G but intermittently i'm unable to connect to the internet and cannot make calls or received messages.

I've tried resetting my APN info/network settings/replaced my sim card. Funny enough when i use the sim card from another Telco i don't experience any issues.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do?

I'm using Starhub for those wondering.

Then must let Starhub know the issue and they can settle for u.

yea i've spoken to the representative but they don't seem to know what was going on. Just keep referring me to troubleshooting steps on their website..

Verify your Starhub sim card on another phone. If it works, do a factory reset of your phone.

What phone are you using?

what phone are u using? i mean the 2 phone u are using to test your sim card.

I'm using a Oneplus 3t. I've tried using a singtel sim and it has no problems connecting.. Starhub has come down to my place to check the connection but the problem occurs intermittently all over singapore. So i'm wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues and managed to fix it.

Maybe try different setting for "Preferred Network Type".
Any problems connecting when using WiFi. Is it unable to connect to internet ? If there is no issue.it is not the handset problem.If it have issues then consider trying the SIM card on a different device

StarHub problem I think.

Especially on StarHub 3G, I can't even use anything a lot of times. All my devices. Not even WhatsApp.
SingTel and M1 3G occasionally don't work due to dead spot but most of the time can.

StarHub 4G is more stable but it is still not as fast as SingTel and M1 4G. 4G uptime is not as good outdoors too, randomly drop out of StarHub 4G and stuck on their useless 3G network.
