Data recovery from hard disk

My 12 year old HDD died recently with some data that I've forgotten to back up.

I was using my desktop one day and all of a sudden there was a weird screeching sound before the entire come just hanged.

Does anyone have any data recovery services to recommend?

bro, i was in same situation as you, i bought an external enclosure to try and it worked, quickly copied everything out. if you have 1 lying around, try it first.
