Data Recovery on Harddisk

Hi All,

Does anyone here in the forum know how to recover data that were lost after the hard disk was reformatted and Windows 7 installed?

kiss most of it goodbye (at least up to the first 40GB of space). really.

you want you can still try recuva or others, but don't recover to the same disk. Use another HDD with windows and recuva installed and have a third HDD to salvage what you can to it.

This is easily recovered by data recovery software. If you're tech savvy enough, and your data not too important, try downloading a free copy and recover yourself.

If data is critical and you cannot afford to lose it, then go for professional data recovery services. It should costs below $500 if you can find the good one. Search this forum for recommendation.

Tried both free and paid copies. Nv once could retrieve anything out of it despite extracting the hdd and tried to copy it out to another hdd.

They will show you recoverable but 99% data are simply pointers which are useless.

Yes, recuva is one of it.


But if anyone has a excellent method do sic. I am keen to learn
