data sim or wifi router?

do you guys recommend i get a data sim card or get wifi router from changirecommends? data sim card i see on forum is $58 for unlimited data, then the wifi router costs about $108 but can use for a few devices.. i cannot decide which to use!!

i'll be in taiwan for about 10 days.. going to taichung, cingjing, hualien and taipei.. anyone knows if sim card or wifi router will have better reception in those mountainous area? lol~

Use a spare phone to tether.
That someone must know how to change the settings then can do.

Data sim more convenient. Then carry a power bank.

If bring wifi egg also needa worry abt its battery and normally don last whole day one. So ultimately still needa carry a power bank.

plan to borrow a wifi router from friend for taiwan trip, ayone knows if i buy data sim card for phone use, then if i take out and put sim in portable wifi router, does it work the same?
