I got a few questions regarding data transferring to check with the gurus here.
I have a NAS (A), DNS320, and a USB HDD attached to my Asus RT-N66U (B).
1. When I, on my desktop PC (C), from shared drive of B, transfer data to A, does the data travel from B to A direct? or actually travel from B to C then A? How can I optimize the transfer from B to C?
2. Understand that, small size data transfer slower than big size one. If I have 10GB of photos of 1, 2MB each, will it be faster to transfer if I zip them into a zip file?
3. Same like in question 2, will it be faster to upload to Crashplan if I zip them into a zip file?
Thanks in advanced.
