Data usage on 4g

hi all
I just got my s4.
like to check when I at home I connect to my home wifi to surf net without turn off the mobile data. will this "eat" into my m1 data plan?

my m1 data jump 3gb in 4days!!!
this never happen when I using iphone....

what is the correct setting so it wont use my data plan when I on wifi?

When you are on WiFi your data is disconnected.

Me . usually average per mth I used like 4gb. Since getting s4 three days back the data usage revealed I already used 1.2gb liao! Duno accurate or not

Go to data usage to check what is using the data.

If your wifi signal drops off, it may start to use 4g.

Disable your dropbox back up, google acct back up, photo back up etc etc.

Basically when you have 1st gotten your android phone, after you have set up your google account, the phone will sync all the stuffs into your phone via which data/wifi connection you are on.

Thus if you are using data to setup your google account, all stuffs will be downloaded into your phone using data.

I believe that this high data usage will happen for the 1st time only.
