I'm using this "My Data Manager" app both on iOS & Android phones.

Very accurate so far,
can set when your data resets,
data limit
shows u how many days left to data resets
daily budget
reminders
etc..

but once in a while go back to telco app and confirm the amt used.. then update the app if it's off

I am using an app called Dataman to check my data usage. It's handy in that there is a widget for it, so I don't have to go into the app itself to check.
