All I know is the latter is the governing body as well as a borrower while the former is the lender. But this is not unique to DBS or even Singapore no?

It very much also depends on how much conspiracy theory you wish to subscribe to.All I know is the latter is the governing body as well as a borrower while the former is the lender.
Can we expect the borrower to penalise the lender without any prejudice or preferential treatment?
When I first enter the financial world back in late 90s old birds in those era forums keep repeating this phrase left hand right hand. I don't really get what it means it seems to insinuate something. Soon I get it. I hope you get it too.All I know is the latter is the governing body as well as a borrower while the former is the lender.

Mas also don’t need ppl to loan it money. They central bank lolMore to the point, here is the official government response to the issue. Basically it was part of MAS's regular money market operations. It was not because MAS was hard up for money or that DBS needs to finance MAS. Surely that should be obvious.
