Hmmm. But if in real terms it’s negative, how will $ work harder?
If rates are high enough, cash hoarders will become positive because business growth will slow and property growth will slow also etc.

right now, its heavily negative and inflation is still sky high. I might as well hope rates are high and inflation is high also

Why is it automatically assumed that rates will be high when inflation is high? The problem now is that they do not dare to crash the economy with a reset by raising rates high enough such that everyone has the mindset to all in to make their $ work harder. Also, there is alot of money printing going on. History has shown that inflation drops when the market crashes big time.

If rates are raised higher than inflation aka rates are high enough to dampen inflation then it will not be negative? If rates are 15% while inflation is 13% then $ is working harder in the bank?

technically its not impossible for that to happen though highly unlikely with the way govts are letting assets inflate massively

thanks mate. heng ah... can catch the 29 May - 11 Jun cycle as mine is maturing 2 Jun.

but again there's the unknown whether the rates could be climbing up with the current situation in middle east :\
Same, my wife and my casa end 2 Jun, 1.38% then

for 1st time insurance, only count in next month deduction if am not mistaken.
To be accurate is always for the following month

oh F, i just realised i've totally forgotten & overlooked my insurance being 12/12 recorded in Apr already :spin:

now just did a quick search, previously im on Protecfirst, i guess its ineligible to terminate and resign ProtectFirst? (next best being Termprotect?)
tried reading about the insurance eligibility windows abit confusing... any advice on optimal date to sign new before date & terminate old after? TIA :o

Edit: Found most answers in previous useful posts
To roll over another 12 months. Am I able to buy back term protect or need to change to other type of insurance to be eligible for next 12 month? As term protect min is 5 years. So I need to cancel after 12 month since Multiplier only pay for 12 month. For roll over can I Buy Back the same term protect which I have cancelled to get the BI for next 12 month.
Seems like can buy back the same one, need a new policy number and new policy start date.
Buy a new term protect policy on the month when your previous one is in the 12th month ..... or you not sure and need to have an overlap buffer, buy the new policy in the 11th month ......
This is correct .... note new policy may cost a bit more as you have aged one more year and premium may have changed .....
Can buy a new term protect(new policy nos) and then cancel the old one after 12 months

And lastly, SIC for those re-signing protectfirst / termprotect, heres the promo code
