I'm just curious, I have had 3 DBS passion card and realised the first 8 digits are all similar. Why is that so? Wouldn't our cards be more easily hacked? What is so difficult about randomizing all the 16 digits? Are other banks doing this as well?

By specification the first 6 digits should be the same.
