I want to invest in the global portfolio but cannot cos I didn’t meet their requirements - need study finance/accounting, or work in related areas for how many years, or how many transactions in past how many years.

This is a bit silly if they expect all robo investors to answer that questionaire related to opening trading accounts. I wonder how in the US, the YOLO WSB traders able to open accounts with Robinhood, if they were asked these questions. I dont think those people there are even educated O level.

Robo is supposed to be for anyone, not finance guys. Someone at DBS has goofed up big time. 1st they goofed up regarding currency conversion and now this.

It's for unit trust investments if I guess correctly. I guess some of these requirements are more like government/MAS goofing up big time?

Hahaha

For comments and discussion. What would be the better strategy for Digiportfolio? Sell when reached target profit and buy again at dip or just buy and hold?

If u r able to predict the mkt will fall further, u can hold(wait and c) further then.....
If not just dont, as it is so hard to predict....

I trust u can still hold muchh longer, i seriously dont thk it is just for a quick profit
(Furthermo now not a gd time to sell)

Last is dbs digipf -your only option strictly???

I think it depends on ur belief and objective. If the target profit is too low, u may end up speculating for short term profit.

Buy at dip/low is good but how do we know we r not catching a falling knive? Even when it dip, it may still be at a high and dip further.. I don't think anyone can time the market. If not, all will be making profit. They say time in the market beats timing the market.

Just my thoughts :)

Question

Example....
I start a new account ( let's call this Account A ) on the 3rd Jan $10 000. I start only the Bear come in. By 1st March went down to $9000 ( 10% drop )

On 2nd March i start a new portfolio - $10 000 ( not add on ). Let's call this Account B. Say I'm very lucky, from March onwards it went bullish all the way till October.

So on October will Account A get the same % rise as Account B or will Account A get more % because it was started earlier ?

Lets say markets go up from Mar to Oct 10%. Portfolio A will be 9900 and portfolio B will be 11000.

Wasted, should sell it last 2 weeks when Global Portfolio hit +4%.

Now down 0.3% then re-buy it again. :s13:
