Digiportfolio growth

Noob question. Let's say you invested $5000, it grew to $5150 (3%) within 1 month, why should I keep the money or withdraw it and reinvest again ? Considering it will only grow to $5500 (10%) in 1 year, and the profit/loss fluctuates, don't you earn more if there is at least $150 profit that happens 5 times in a year ? It's like swing trading bu roboadvisors are playing and even after deducting fees you still earn more and already hold the cash. Because that $5150 profit can go back down to $5020 any day of the week again, which by then you could have pump the same $5000 to gain profits. Am I missing something ?

Thing is, I'm not playing, it's the bank's investment teams and complex computers playing, we only pay the 0.75% for roboadvisors. All we do is wait till the P/L gains profits and sell. Because in the past 3 months, the chart for mine showed 7 chances to do that. If I had sold each time that happen and repump the initial $5000, I would have likely gained in 3 months the profit that originally required 1 year. What is the catch ?

I put a 6k in this just for the kicks late 2019. Here's what they've done with it so far.

Makes no sense, e.g. those "sell 237 STI and buy 1 STI back the next day"... :s13:

Like this DBS robot for auto ETF rebalancing but why they include India etf

Over the first quarter, fears over the COVID-19 pandemic coupled with crude oil price collapse led to a broad sell-off in global markets including Asian equities and corporate bonds. That said, our exposure to Singapore government bonds and investment-grade corporate bonds held up well over the quarter and benefited the portfolios. Our exposure to Chinese equities also contributed as they outperformed many Asian and developed equity markets relatively. Looking ahead, while markets may likely continue to remain volatile over the near term, we do expect rationality to eventually prevail. With the sharp correction in Indian equity markets, we decided to make use of the opportunity to initiate a position. Besides China, India is one of the largest economies in Asia. Hence we believe that adding India will open up more investment opportunities for the portfolio while improving overall diversification of our equity exposure beyond Singapore and China currently. One key lesson we have learnt through multiple market cycles is the importance of adopting a long-term portfolio approach and improving portfolio diversification. This is what we hope to continuously achieve for the Asia ETF portfolio.

The fee is 0.75% per annum. If sell within less than a year, how would the fees be calculated? Pro-rated?

Seems like digipofrfolio is one of the few robo with STI ETF? Got other robos with STI ETF?

Looks like its just another robo advisor, but this 1 got local portfolio.

Unless markets got another big dive coming, looks like now is a good time to invest.

Invested in the Asia Portfolio. So far experience has been good.

Good diversification of Singapore, China, India market, as well as Asia REIT market.

I have opted for the highest risk one.

I guess for the long term, India do have good potential for growth. Certainly there is risk involved but i guess the diversification of China, SG and Asia REIT would minimize any potential huge loss for MSCI India.

Stashaway's SGD Income portfolio has 10% weight in G3B.

Hello! I'm unclear if the digiPortfolio reinvests dividends from the ETFs - is this visible anywhere. Also are there key months when these are paid or is it all months/never months? Does anyone know?
If I knew that DBS were charging 0.75% and keeping all of the dividends then that would piss me off....

Thanks. Pardon my suspicion, but how do I know?
Naqsaq's transaction table doesnt show any reinvested dividends, for two rebalances.
Is there any way to see when reinvestment takes place?
