If I use it in China for RMB, do I need to convert sgd into rmb in my multipler account to get the 5% rebate or they will just convert my sgd inside and give me my 5% rebate?

This sort of qns you better get a black and white from DBS so that if necessary you can hold them accountable

Just to share. Called dbs today and this is what I was told.

Using union pay debit card for RMB transactions against your multiplier account will deduct only sgd to be converted even if you have RMB stored in your multi currency account. Only the Visa debit card can draw from the rmb account

You can't use RMB in yr MCA for visa debit card spending.

"Do note that Renminbi Offshore (CNH) is not available for the card feature."

Anyway Unionpay debit card got 5% cashback for all RMB spending. More than enough to offset the foreign exchange fee DBS charge.

This card is useful to overcome paying the 3% transaction fees when paying more than RMB 200 via Alipay or wechatpay. There is another card uob union pay that has the same effect but without min spend + overall you should get better cashback, assuming both dbs and uob exchange rate is same. Do note there is limit to amt of cashback per calndar month.

UOB is a credit card with cashback and 0% FX and txn fees. DBS is a Debit card with 5% cashback for china spend.

My understanding is that transactions in foreign currency charged to DBS UnionPay Debit Card is subjected to 3.25% fee. The 5% cashback for RMB spend requires monthly $400 minimum spend.
