Just got the phone yesterday from M1 Shop at Nex and I just noticed a dead pixel on my screen today on the upper portion of my screen!

Any advice and suggestions please?

QCD Tech or A.Lab for send-in repair or does M1 accept 1to1 exchange?

I have the exact same problem as you but on a ip6. Also bought from m1 shop. They do not entertain any exchange after u left the counter. I went to A.lab to exchange. According to the cso, it is a brand new set, but I'm not sure if it really is one or refurbished.

May I know of your experience at A.Lab? Did you go at their opening hours so that you could quickly change it on the spot?

My experience was not bad, quite good. The CSO was polite and helpful. Perhaps because dead pixels are clear cut exchange cases so no need to argue or persuade. I went early, but not to the extent of queuing before they open. takes about one and a half hour for the whole process from queuing till exiting the shop, I went on a weekday.

There was a man screaming at another CSO at the other side of the shop though, apparently because of someone cutting queue. it was not pleasant.

Heard that QCD @ Wheelock is better. Well for me i will sell it off and buy a new one because all they can give you is a refurb.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I will try the weekend as I will be in camp on weekdays.

Weekend, go at 10.30am, SHARP.

Any later, and you'll need >1 hour to get your turn with the CSO.

That's a stuck pixel btw, remains in white, but I believe black would appear if you slide some characters or black lines across. Mine was also same spot as yours, but not so visible, took me 2 days to notice it after collecting from PopStation. :(

Went A Lab on sat... took me >20minutes to get a Q number, >1 hr to get my turn, and about another 15mins to get the replacement. Moment I told the Q counter about my problem, she was so apologetic despite not her fault.

Previously went on Weekday around 10.45am, was 2nd in Q, but somebody cut the Q and went 1st, I became 3rd.

Last went on weekday, 10.40am, kaos. Already snaking Q, I was 19 in Q.

Service wise ok for A.Lab, there were times they irritated me with stupid formalities (like need 2-3 days to call Apple to allow exchange of 1 stupid lightning cable) but after sounding out and asking for alternatives they manage to shrink it down to 30mins.

There were babes at the last visit there too, so not too bad, some eye candy while waiting.

I asked the same, but given the phones are newly released, I doubt at this point they have any refurbished sets for replacement.

The lady emphasized heavily on the word 'NEW' when I inquired about the replacement.

Aiyah, nevermind lor, just use.

A.Lab sucks. Tried it twice.

Needed to call Apple every time to solve.

Where did you go? How was the experience?

Hi! I went to A.Lab at Plaza Singapura. I'd rate the experience to be 4/5.

I went around 2pm and got a ticket after showing the CSO my dead pixel issue and he gave me a ticket(they provide a SMS service when your number is about to reach, great feature!).

I was about the 40th person in queue (No. Serving was : 1045 and mine was 1088).

Waited about 3 hours before I was given a text saying my number came up.

Explained the situation to the counter staff and he proceeded to do a 1 to 1 exchange. Asked if it were a "New" set and he told me that he doesn't know and that he only knew that the set is from Apple. That being said, I think it's new but it may be a first batch new iPhone as I noted the iOS running was 8.0.2 and I believe new models are shipped with 8.1?

Anyway everything was in good order and I did all the necessary tests and signing of forms and got my new set. ;)

A.Lab sucks. Tried it twice.

Needed to call Apple every time to solve.

Experience may vary. Also I was changing a dead pixel (hardware issue) so I guess there wasn't much to explain or to deal with. I pity your experience with them.
