Dead psu or mobo?

Hi I need some help from bros here
So I turn on my com just now and the case Fans turn on as usual. But after 2s my com shuts down and reboot automatically and keep rebooting after 2s.
At first I thought it's my psu that has a problem. I don't have a paper clip around so cannot do the test.
Then I tried keeping the 24 pin atx cable plugged to my mobo and unplugged the 8pin atx and turn on my com. This time, the fans kept spinning and the system nv automatically reboot, but of cos unable to post. The moment I plug in the 8pin atx cable together with the 24pin and turn on my com, the auto reboot happens.
Is this a bad 8pin atx cable or bad mobo in my case?

Try removing the memory modules and reinserting them. Try reinserting them one at a time. Another is the video card. If you have a spare video card try putting that back in. Sometimes its not the motherboard but rather the components that are connected to the motherboard.

bro superb advise. turns out one of my ram stick is the problem
its not showing on any of my ram slots so now running only one 4gb ram.
single channel 4gb vs dual channel 8gb really day and night in terms of speed

If your PC has been using sometime. You may want to clean the contact of memory DIMM and retry again. In many case, it is due to bad contact.
