Planning dec trip, need some info.

Reaching Narita at 225pm, roughly how long will it take to clear custom. can it be done within an hour?

Hoping to be able to see some snow in mid dec, Nozawa onsen a good bet? Any recommendation on accomdation at nozawa onsen?

Or is Hakuba or Karuizawa better choice? Or is there any other snow place to recommend?

hakuba is pretty far from tokyo. yuzawa might be a better choice (90 mins from tokyo). karuizawa apparently not real snow if the snowfall is not a lot but it's quite near to tokyo, like 60 mins on the shinkansen.

Perhaps this might be Osaka KIX? I've been to Narita/Haneda many times and can clear customs within 1hr or less. Fastest I have recorded was 35-40mins from landing to bus limousine.

Yeah. You taking ana? 6am flight? You should reach narita around 130pm local time. Yeah it took close to 2hrs to clean custom for me and it was on Sunday.

Why not? Three hours as claimed by some Twitter users.

I landed narita around 130pm local time. It would be better if you arrange your car pick up time around 345pm. Give yourself at least 2hrs of buffer especially peak season.

give urself more buffer. can always go for meals if u arrive early.
anyway, most of the time, the rental company will have the car ready for u, even if u are early or late
