if so , recommend me a good card.

I have just recently bought the JBL QUANTUM DUO PC GAMING SPEAKER

On board sound is good , just thinking if I should get a dedicated and if people do sell it these days

Those $12-15 one from Lazada definitely better than onboard. But I rather spend $89-100 buy the Asus sonar Se

No, I assumed you wouldn't be stupid enough to connect a powerful JBL using 3.5mm when it is using a TAS5760 amplifier with ONLY digital inputs so your analog audio will be converted back to digital first hence ending up with even worse quality than connecting straight via digital to begin with.

3.5mm is not bad as the speaker supports USB, USB will be better than 3.5mm since USB is a digital interface
while 3.5mm is analogue cable.

upon connected through USB you can now update your USB driver & software upgrade for speaker if you have not done so as screenshot below red circle.



yes you are correct it is not supported by the QuantumENGINE software

nevertheless you can go to the task bar right corner "sound" icon right click to see what are the setting or properties available for your speaker and play around.

I was looking at this https://www.jbl.com.sg/gaming/QUANTUM+DUO-.html, selling at $269 its a ripoff but I also wouldn't buy even at $169.

my opinion is a dedicated soundcard wouldn't make any difference.

I just gotten the edifier bookshelf studio monitors. Edifier r1280dbs. It looks aesthetically nice with its wood accents. The audio quality is superb as well. Very well balanced and not muddy. Cheap too.

With shopee coupons, its $124. Add some shopee coins and it cost me $116
