Hello everyone,

I'm intending on pursuing a career in the lines of Psychology. I really like it a lot, so am wondering what school i should go next.
I recently (not really, like 1/2 year ago) just completed a diploma in counselling at Kaplan, because i didn't score very well for my Os.

So now, i'm kind of stuck. I'm considering among
Kaplan Degree in Psychology (Murdoch)
SIM Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Buffalo)
MDIS Bachelor of Science (in Behavioural Studies with concentration in Psychology) (Oklahoma)

I'm pretty sure i can enter Kaplan.. But as for the other two, i'm not sure yet, but i do not want to limit myself.

Which school will be recommended? I can't get into a local school, so private ones are the only one i can go :(

To be a registered psychologist, you need a masters psychology degree.
- Singapore Register of Psychologists | Singapore Psychological Society

To be a registered counsellor,
- SAC Singapore – Membership Categories
Recognised counselling programmes,
- http://www.sac-counsel.org.sg/temp/... of Professional Counselling in Singapore.pdf

Global Rankings,
Murdoch is 551 on QS and 351-400 on THE.
Buffalo is 300 on QS and 191 on THE.
Oklahoma City is unranked on both QS and THE.

Kaplan Murdoch Psychology is a basic non-honours degree. If you qualify for honours programme, you will travel to Murdoch Australia to complete honours year.
SIMGE Buffalo has latin honours classification. MDIS Oklahoma City, not known if it awards honours degrees. (pls email to ask)

Do compare the career services and programmes on Kaplan, SIMGE and MDIS websites. Visit the campus to see the study environment as well before you make your decision.

---

You may need a good honours degree to apply for a masters degree,
- NUS Master of Psychology (Clinical)
- Master of Arts (Applied Psychology) | Study @ NIE | National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore
- JCU Master of Psychology (Clinical)

Alternative choice, you may wish to check if you qualify for JCU Psychology degree (honours),
- Bachelor of Psychology

If you wish to return to mainstream education, you may want to privately take 2 H2 A Level subjects or SAT Test or apply for Part-Time Polytechnic Diploma, so you may apply for UniSIM Psychology (Honours option).
- How to Apply
- BSc Psychology
