$50 is useless for room, basically u're just wasting electricity
thirsty hippo is for enclosed small areas e.g wardrobe
u need at least $100 to be decent.

if areas is windy, can open window or turn on aircon dry mode.....

good decent dehumidifier able to reduce below RH 60, during non-rainy days.
