Dell insprion laptop - any feedback?

getting 1 soon for student. mostly office, watch 1080p video, youtube , music

Extend the stock warranty to 3yrs as they are typically designed to develop faults past the 1yr mark. Normally around $160-$230.

Not jialat, it's just the way the industry is with consumer-level stuff. Brands need to get people to buy a new laptop every year or two. Nothing wrong with Inspirons, Ideapads, Zenbooks, Spectre, Envy, Aspire, Swift etc. Just get it as cheap as you can, then extend the warranty.

Want something that could last longer? Get a Lenovo Thinkpad T/X series or Dell Latitude 7000 series, both of which come with 3 year warranties as standard.

Nope; my Dell Inspiron laptop lasted for a good 5 years before dead pixels appeared on the screen.

Lenovo is total crap. Bought a new one last Aug - before even a month, motherboard kaput. After that speakers kaput. Don’t touch that crappy China brand even if it’s free.

My Dell Inspiron keyboard malfunctioned after 14 months. Still alive to date.

I have a Dell 3559, few of the keys in the numpad don't work just after a year. Learnt to live with it.

Mine's a 3147, left column of keys failed (1, q, a, z, tab, caps lock)
