yup yup... for budget consious and normal usage, it's a good deal... somemore with Ram upgrade... however must note that warranty is one yr and window vista home basic... color option and webcam need to pay a little more...

If its 32-bit nVidia drivers, it should be available, otherwise download from nVidia's site.

If its for 64-bit OS, there's some trick to 'force' a 64-bit OS to detect the graphics driver.
Download the latest WHQL nVidia driver but can't install it as it will prompt an error.
Go to device manager, update the driver and find the inf file from where you decompressed the nVidia driver, it should load and show up nicely after rebooting.
i notice you use the 64bit vista for xps 1210. so far any problem encountered? how bout 3rd party software?

But overaLL still cheeper den before rite?~
just looking at pricing... of cos is cheaper... but look at the "content" of the laptop... you will notice the reason for the difference... it's more like you're getting what you're paying for... if you really wanna see if it is value for money... do a inter-brand comparision... =)

For Dell Vista users wanting to downgrade to XP, I've a few pieces lying around, XP, SP1 and SP2. W2K also have :)

PM me your price if you're interested.

with regards to the current inspiron 1420 (high end) selling at $1499. Is it worth it to upgrade ur warranty to a 3-yr premium protection package?

IMHO, any laptop valued below $2.5k i wont up the warranty to 3 years,

can always buy a new one when spoilt :D

if u dont use it to play 3d intensive games, should last more than 2 years of normal usage

unless you are very careless with your laptop then better buy insurance :)
