I just realized that I got a problem here. Mine is Vostro1400. When I downgraded Vista to Xp myself, in bios, I swithed the SATA option to ATA instead of AHCI so that XP can detect the hdd, and Flash Cache somthing to OFF. After I installed XP, I forgot abt this until today. I have installed the SATA driver for XP from DELL also. So I went to BIOS agan and tried to switch it back to usual seting which is AHCI. but after that, when XP loads, it will just turn to blue screen then reboot. What went wrong anyone knows? And, what is the difference between AHCI and ATA? what will happen if I remein in ATA?
thx

Inspiron 700M battery

Besides getting from Dell, can I get it from Sim Lim? Or if Sim Lim any shop that can diagnose a notebook/laptop problem?

Hi everyone..

Just bought Dell Inspiron 1420 lappy..

However, I noticed that the RAM (1GB) seems not good enough.. is there anyway I could upgrade the RAM other than going to DELL?

SLS or Funan?

About 7-8 years.
Call Dell service center, They can not repair since the spare part is not available anymore.

hi pros, i would like some nice advice as to why my laptop feels laggy during gameplay... playing crysis and fifa 08... fifa 08 seems even more laggy than crysis... any suggestions on what i can do??

I'm currently using a DELL XPS M1530. C2D 2.2GHz, Nvidia 8600M GT and 4GB RAM (shown as 3.5GB)... there seems to be 70++ processes running when i start up the task manager... in the meantime, i'll try to scan for viruses again~~
