$2234.. upgrade ram to 1GB, purchase 3yrs complete coverage (excluding thief) and battery upgraded to 9cells. It should be around 2.5kg after the upgrade.

Guys, I have a Dell Inspiron 2650. It's an old model which I had more than 3 years ago. Now it has CD-rom problems like it couldn't read CDs and other stuffs...but still in working condition. I don't wish to upgrade it and I have no idea how to get rid of it. You certainly don't just throw it away right lol...So...can anyone advise me on how to maybe sell it to someone or some place who is capable of changing the parts in the laptop and still I can get a few hundred dollars back?

You can buy a new combo drive for your inspirion 2650. Installation I can do for you if you want it.

Tks for your offer ;)
At first I thought only a replacement of the drive will help the pc...but cos my pc had errors before, some buttons on the keyboard were screwed and the screen is not as 'fresh'. So...even just changing the cd drive wouldn't make me want to waste the money liao...cos it seems to have hidden complications that's like faltering any moment lol.
So is there some place that I can sell it off?

M using an Inspiron 510m...

Just wanna ask...whats the difference between Pentium M and the "normal" Pentium desktop computers use?

Also, is there any way of cooling down my laptop since it heats up very quickly after using for a while?
