Anyone in this thread using a Inspirion 6000 with resolution of 1680 x1050 or higher?
do you find it too small when loading certain webpages?
im thinking of sending it back to dell and ask them to change to a 1280x 800 lcd.. is it worth it? my frens hav been asking me to wait for my lcd to burn out or something b4 i change..

but its really making my eyes squinting really bad...

hmm try not to change. if u use firefox, can zoom in the fonts with CTRL-+, if icons too small, try adjusting the size using the display properties.

Settings -> Advanced -> General -> Display -> DPI Setting

high resolution = more area to play around...

if really dun like then change bah :)

actually after using the 710m for awhile i wouldnt reccomend it... the ram they provide is the old DDR ram, not the new DDR2 which is supposed to be faster... and its using intel graphics 64mb. even the dell staff who i met told me not as worth... (but i gian that model that time la) of cuz if these arent issues then go ahead :)

anyway its ard 1.8kg la, not very heavy, bt quite thick compared to the 12" of other brands too.

Anyone know what's the problem with my firewire ports for my 630m?

it can't detect my camcorder....but the one on my pc works?

Is it due to the low power/no power firewire port?

thinking of getting a dell inspiron 6400 or 9400

eventhough it heavier but still preferred performance.

from the 2 spec the only different btw them is that 9400 have a 256mb of nvidia geforce graphics card and larger screen but the price diff is alot.

if i get a 6400 than get a 256mb of nvidia geforce graphics card from sls will be it cheaper?

Another issue is that does local poly or uni offer dell laptop?

Heard it even cheaper compare to order online? but due to limited brand.

I got buget constraint so need to know whether 6400 can upgrade later with grapics card if i need them later. Is it a PCIe port or a AGP port for the laptop?

6400 cannot change graphics card... dunno abt 9400... but if u buy 9400 u dun need to change cos it's using geforce go 7800 which is v gd liao...

i bought 6400 cos i use pc to play games... using lappie for study n work...

dell pc only avail thru dell... not thru poly
