If I can buy either of the laptop at the same price, which one is more worth?

1) Latitude 5280 with i7, 5 years warranty
2) Latitude 7280 with i5, 4 years warranty

Even for physical design?

If this is so. Get the i7 with 5 years.

Physical design... I'm not too sure coz i havent seen them hands on. But the one with 4 years warranty is lighter and slimmer, and the hinges are stronger

As mentioned by gurus here.. size and weight considerations would be the deciding factor.

The i7U and i5U are essentially the same (cept for few minor differences). Essentially it’s just faster clocked. Same amount of cores - dual cores

I went to find out more.

The 7280 about 0.2cm smaller in thickness / length / breath.
Weight for 7280, at 1.18kg, is 200g lesser than 5280
Material for 7280 is Magnesium alloy, whereas the 5280 is Carbon fibre
Battery life for 7280 will probably be slightly better than 5280, since it's i5.

Are these things worth the 1 year decrease in warranty?

probably an error in listing. they state that its 12" themselves and notebookcheck confirms the same.

Actually You can just get any model than request additional warranty which
can be done at additional cost.

Done that for my coy since Latitude series usually is three years only.
Than boss want another 2 years, we just pay for extended warranty.
Provided that you talk to Dell directly, if through school/reseller
they may or may not have extended warranty.

Since they sell this SKU already means it is fixed cannot change.
If you talk to Dell directly, just remember to indicate that you are a student
than they will quote you using edu prices.

Hope this clarifies. PS I am not a Dell sales here.

Latitude series can be bought at where ?

Online or any stores ?

If you want to customize, call Dell.
Retail shops like Addon and etc.
They do sell Latitude but the configuration is fixed.
If you are student, best buy from the school since it is much cheaper as it is education pricing.
