anyone tried before? what are the chances of incompatibility?

have look around the pricelists and seems like only bizgram has quadros. but they don't look cheap. dell's website however has better prices.

or any other shop recommendation that sells nvidia quadro cards? just need entry level one, like 2000 or 4000.

another qn is, i'll be using it on a pretty old workstation board, Supermicro X6DAi-G2. currently it's using the fx1300 but having problems with it.... no driver installed is ok, but once install drivers, will randomly freeze and hang. have format/reinstall windows xp 64-bit and tried several driver versions but still the same behavior. i suppose as long as it's pci-e 16, it should work? are there different generations where new cards won't work on old boards anymore?

Your old graphic card maybe uplorry liao, finding a cheap replacement
can be challenging but worth a try to get the graphic card
from Dell.
Btw what type of work you normally do on your workstation?
CAD, PS or .....?

TS you can try getting even cheaper stuff off eBay...I got my graphics card (Quadro 2000 2GB), i7 CPU and RAID controller cards from there.

I tired before my Quardo 2000 from leadtek at home and office both works fine for me.

I also got quadro 4000 in office (Dell Precision T7600 workstation) tried the graphic card at home also no issue.

I could only say buying quardo in singapore is expensive... @@ if you compare price from sim lim price list and ebay, egg or amazon..... sim lim is super exp.

If not you could look at the marketplace some one selling too if i not wrong... not sure if it's a quardo 2000 or K5000 lol !.

You can try calling ban leong for a price?

it's been really some time... forgot to update since posted and only saw it when i searched for my own thread. thanks to all who responded. i also can't remember exactly liao and can't verify as i've already left my job in april, so just in case anyone might be interested, i settled for a leadtek quadro 400 for just ~$300 iirc from fuwell. cheap enough and serve its purpose. as long as it's on par or better than the fx1300, it's more than good enough. key consideration over buying from ebay/forums is accountability in the form of proof of purchase for claims purpose since it's for company use.
