Hi All,

I set the screen resolution to the recommended 1920 x 1080. But this setting leaves black borders on the screen i.e. windows doesn't cover the whole screen. In the LCD penal setting, it's set to Wide 16:9. Any setting that I have missed out ?

Thanks in advance.

Are you using HDMI instead of DVI?

:( There are only VGA and HDMI. So, I use HDMI and it comes with borders. I use VGA + DVI adapter and no border. Dell should say 2340L is a VGA/HDMI monitor. :s22:

as mentioned by Kusanagi, it is not a rare issue. Also happens on older ATI cards. Google for "HDMI overscan issue"

They nvr put any VESA mounting figures, so it wun be VESA compliant... cant really say DELL con u of that. If have, they will put VESA 75/100.
