Recently got this monitor. (Rev. A04)
Feeling quite disappointed.

The screen feels abit disappointed.. (I know it's TN)

Hoping for user of this monitor to share their settings. Contrast, brightness & experience.

Also, I am seeing this black pixelated on some video and games. :(

The picture above alittle brightened but it looks something like that.

My setting is R/G/B 97/99/96
Brightness 26%
Contrast 70%

Nvidia Control Panel
Brightness 50%
Contrast 50%
Gamma 0.6 (Previously 0.9)
Digital vibrance 60%
Hue 0

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PS: The black is fixed when i adjusted the Gamme from 0.9 to 0.6.

The Gamma solved the black pixelated issue on the piano.
But overall image quality i feel looks very dark, like high contrast for everything else

my old monitor also having the same white problem and is spreading. The new monitor border is like having light bleeding. The bottom right is like the video quality. U think this area got problem?

I dont have any white problem. No bleed. The pixelated issue is not resolution. Tested with another monitor & laptop no issue but they are not 1440p. Was wondering if anyone with the same monitor face such issue?

maybe i'm just lucky, or simply not that fussy but i have no problems running 3 of them at the same time in terms of visual. Of cos the standard flaws of TN i dont have to elaborate.

My setting is R/G/B 87/88/97
Brightness 40
Contrast 75

btw i do see the black shapes on the piano as well in all 3 monitors.. maybe other monitor users can comment if they see or dont see it in theirs.

Well for the record.. i play the same video on my work laptop and i saw the same pixelation.. thus i wouldnt spend time RMA..
Firstly, i'm not sure if it's even an issue in the first place. Secondly, i gave u my own test, all 3 have this 'issue'. To RMA to another of the same model expecting to see none of this, the chance is pretty low.

Brightness= 43 (according to preferences and lighting)

Response Time= Normal

Preset Mode= Custom Color

R= 100

G= 98

B= 98

Refresh rate= 144Hz

https://pcmonitors.info/icc/Dell S2716DG.icm

Try the above. Worked very well for me. Make sure you activate the ICM correctly after downloading the above custom ICM as per the link.

I wouldn't fault TS for being merticulous. He just needs assurance the issue is not because he got a 'tn' panel or due to '1440' resolution.

i've left nvidia control panel untouched.. if u really feel something wrong, i think you can just call Dell and log a case with them, they can come and exchange for u i believe within x days.
