I believe Dell have a separate batch of "warranty" monitors set aside for those who bought.

I just called dell to register my warranty. They said they will replace the model with the latest model within the 5 years time frame. They dont repair

Yep. My cousin 2209WA recently got replaced with the U2312 and after some negotiation became U2412 to keep the 16:10 ratio as the 2209WA. And his LCD still has 1.5 years more of warranty.

Next year when the u2412 phased out, I wonder what Dell can offer to him if he insist on the 16:10, maybe U2413? Haha

I"m using these settings: Brightness= 15, Contrast = 75, R = 84 G = 90 B = 95. Brightness levels is quite subjective so you might want to adjust the brightness to suit your own eyes. If you want to tweak the color settings further, do it with a full screen white background. Adjust until the white colour is free of other colour tints.

for those who are still interested in this model, I managed to see about 5 sets at Electronics Hub @ Changi T3. They are selling $309 but not sure how many years of warranty.:)
