for problem number 2...you went to use the cd to install the bloatware driver? theres two part to the installation. one is the powernap software, 2nd one is the entech API that needs to be installed.

i solved it already

had to copy n paste the powernap folder from the CD onto my Desktop, then run the setup file from there

Bought a DP to HDMI adapter.
No response from monitor 2312.It went to sleep.
Tried from my video cam also experience the same.

Read from somewhere 23XX series have issues with the display ports.

Anyone here experience problem of this nature?
Please advise what's next?
Request for 1-1 exchange?

Thanks

this model is using 6-bit panel and they brand it as a premium model. is this a joke or what?

Go read some reviews from some experienced folks around the web with proper testing equipments/calibrators and then think again if joke's on you.

Anyone using a DP to HDMI adapter on this monitor?
DELL customer service said my Adapter which i bought is not compatible. Thats when no signal go into monitor

So i ask DELL to sell me their own 'compatible' DP to HDMI adapter, CS officer say they do not have one.

Talk so much about compatibility in the end they dont even have the adapter. What a joke.

Hmmm, y waste time converting dp into hdmi? Since U2312HM no sound anyway, might as well directly link monitor to pc via DP cable and forgo HDMI? :) If graphics card is AMD that comes with mini-DP, just convert using miniDP-to-DP converter. Coz the more converter u put in, more likelihood of video quality loss via signal quality loss.

not a good deal compared to sls but too lazy to go sls.

compared to other bros who deal at Dell was not bad considering adding $41 worth of 2year warranty. but compared to kimura84 who got it @ $285 from the same sales rep.... maybe I don't have attractive voice LOL
