Hey guys. My monitor currently have some problems.

The left side of the monitor turned pink and there are white flashing panels from top to bottom.

Anybody have the same issues?

I had that issue too.. Just give Dell Technical Hotline a call and they'll send someone down to do a 1-1 exchange... Happened within 2 days for me :)

Hi all,

Thanks in advance~~ =)

if i have backlight bleeding, can i get a 1:1 exchange?
Or does it have to bleed beyond a certain threshold before it can count?

What about dead pixels?

I realised that my U2312HM also has backbleeding problem.

Not so much as to the colour black, but certain colours like magenta (the color of KMPlayer) or yellow seem to make the problem bad. The bleeding starts from top right to the bottom right for about 10 cm.

So we just call 1800-280-3355 to request for exchange?

i see i see.. i'll roll the dice and try for a replacement hopefully i'll get a good set.. thanks! ! !

Just a little update..

Called Dell, they asked to take photos of the problem and the purchase receipt (important to keep them!) and email to the officer. They also will ask the serial number behind your Dell monitor sticker.

A replacement was scheduled in about 2-3 days, the monitor was delivered to my house and the original one was returned to the same delivery guy. Just take note that you will have to keep all your power/vga cables as the replacement does not include them.

The new monitor (refurbished btw) still have the backlight bleeding problem at the same corner (bottom left) but not as obvious as my original one. I can live with it :o

i just did an exchange (so as do some forumers here as well) for backlight bleeding. Not sure if there is any threshold, but you can refer to the pictures i posted earlier, the officer from Dell trigger a replacement without asking anything else on the issue after seeing the pictures.

I was told by some shop owners that Dell has 0 dead pixel policy, or so i read here as well:

I just bought this from Best Bargain. Last set $250 with 5 year warranty. I'm having a problem connecting it from my Lenovo Ideapad U410 which comes with a HDMI output only.

I used a HDMI to DVI connector but the monitor is not able to display 1920 x 1080 60hz... it keeps saying

"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1920x1080@60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as er the monitor specifications."

This is even after i have already set it to that resolution in Graphics Settings.

The only resolution i can use to make something appear on the monitor is 800x600@60Hz.

Anyone has any idea what could be wrong??
