Hi folks, since I bought a DELL U2412M Monitor, I will like to share my opinion and perspective about this monitor. I will try to be as objective and less subjective possible.
After weeks of researching, I have finally came to buying the DELL 24 inch Ultra Sharp Monitor, no doubt it live up to it's series name. I was contemplating between this monitor to Benq XL2411T or ASUS MX238H monitor. There are many reasons why I bought this monitor over the other 2 awesome monitors.
Reasons:
1. DELL 24 inch of 1920 x 1200 display/ aspect ratio of 16:10 = $360 at SLS. While the ASUS MX238H is 1920 x 1080 at around $369. Therefore won't it be better to get a higher resolution monitor? The extra vertical height make my stuff looks more even and more game content is displayed as well.
2. This monitor has pivot and rotatable, I know the Benq has it but the reason why I did not get the Benq was because of the warranty of only 1 year and it is a TN panel, I prioritize color reproduction more as I seldom play FPS. However I lose out on the 120hz refresh rate...
Nevertheless, I am very happy for my purchase, I love the pivot and the 5 years warranty covered by DELL! I love the cable management at the back, the hole where we can put all the cables through, this is excellent for me as I hate having cables running all around my desk.
One advise on buying this monitor, it is pretty heavy which explains its sturdiness. Do rmb to cab back or drive there guys!
Cheers, got question feel free to ask me but don't criticize too much la.
