WOO, lucky i didn't get the 2209wa. Was wanting something that could run my xbox and pc and this might be it! Actually considering the 1080p resolution, displayport and keeping that sweet ips panel and it seriously bang for the bucks. Will order it end of this month. However, need to wait for reviewers to review before jumping onboard. I'm afraid that dell sacrificed the quality of the panel and concentrated on things such as 1080p and such.

If you want to its possible. Why its good for me is because my thinkpad which i am connecting has a displayport but not a hdmi. I might get the DVI-D - HDMI for the xbox though.

wow, another ips monitor and its only 49 more than the 22", Dell UltraSharpTM 2209WA
seems quite tempting.

can any pro compare the specs between the 2 and tell us in layman terms? haha

The newer U2211H (21.5 inch, SG$299) and U2311H (23 inch, SG$329) both support full HD 1080P, (1920 x 1080) whereas the older 2209WA only goes up to 1680 x 1050.

In terms of aspect ratio, the newer models are oriented for game console/video friendly 16:9, and the older 2209WA has an aspect ratio of 16:10 instead.

For both new models, the back panel itself supports a higher range of color gamut (up to 82%), and has support for Displayport.

very shiock price, even Dell USA is quoting 300USD for U2311H, while Dell SGP is asking for 329$, not sure if tax is inclusive or not.
Tempting ah !
Wait for review, else will hoot to sit next to my mbp 15 hehe

16:9 just feels very odd even though I used 1 for months (not mine)

just placed the order, at $329, I don't see the need to waste time waiting for review. if the majority of computer users can stand the TN panel, how bad can U2311H be? and I do own the 2209WA, IMHO, the e-IPS looks better than the H-IPS of U2410. if only this is 16:10 but at this price, I have no complain.

but somehow I wonder why is this thread so quiet...:look: when will the manufacturer ditch the TN--cut the bull like LED/viewing angle/dynamic contrast...do the right thing and try to push the budget e-IPS panel. the price different is now less than $100, not double like the H-IPS.

Why I prefer normal TN panel because IPS

- Black color looks like purple shiny color
- White color has some pink or strange color tint
- The heat emitted is too much for me
