Wrong section posted, but you can find replacement mobo on eBay. Iirc xps 15 9550 can fit in 9560, with some new ribbion cables. :)

You are doing an useless act which help nothing except to cause more damages due to corrosion depends on what type of liquid splashed.

The correct way of removing water is to wash and clean the motherboard with IPA. IPA will replace the water slipped into small gaps and evaporate into the air. Alternatively, you can soak the motherboard in distilled/de-ionize water to remove the spilled liquid and it drip dry.

Tap water contains many conductive ions which can cause corrosion hence you should never use tap water to clean PCB.

Getting online is fine provided you know exactly what to get for your laptop as there may have no returnable or refund policy online.
The next part is doing the repair yourself.. as there are plenty of tutorial video available.
Hence it is best to find out and watch these tutorial video before you decide if you can handle or not.
However if it is not done properly it is as good as damaged &or wastage.

For me i sent my laptops to a shop to do it for me even i ever done DIY desktops before.
Recently repaired 1 laptop screen replacement $145 and another laptop was repaired motherboard $120.

I was told to contact the dell technical support.
