just came back from CH Tee dental. My lower right filling is partially broken. Early this year went to Nanyang Dentist at geylang to fill the hole. Then 2-3 weeks ago the filling was partially broken. Went back to Nanyang Dentist again and the dentist asked me if there is any pain. I told him a bit pain and he said wait till completely fall off then fix.

So just did scaling and polishing at Nanyang. As time goes by the pain become worse. Thought its a simple filling procedure and can save money so I went to CH Tee. After checking and x-ray, the dentist told me must do root canal and crown treatment. I was like so shocked. Other method is to extract the teeth n replace with dentures which is more expensive.

So just now removed the old filling, drill a hole and clean it, put temporary white filling. have to come back again about 3-4 times. Total cost will be around RM1.2k - Rm2k. Just now paid Rm300. Every visit pay RM3-400. How much does a root canal n crown in SG cost?

Was at CH Tee now. Doctor say previous root canal never do deep enough and they don't do retreatment for root canal. Only can help me do crowning and hope the teeth will not be pain in future.

Today had RM 150 for a filling (small molar) at Dental Clinic CH TEE. More expensive than normal. Maybe because more work & use white colour filling. No X-ray required.

Today did scaling & polishing for RM 100.

Today did scaling & polishing for RM 100.

My son just did scaling & polishing (Q&M, SG), total cost $89.85 (vs RM 100 when I did mine recently in JB).

$89.85 breakdown:
- sterilization & disposables: $12

- scaling & polishing: $72 (after 10% discount)

- consultation: $0

- GST: $5.85

they say got one good one at Bukit Indah near to Jusco area

I think that's Tiew & Partners... somewhere across the road from Tesco...

Tiew is nice and friendly, but their ability to do root canal is limited. Tiew cannot do a small molar root canal, better off, head straight to Alpha (expensive) or to Tee for consultation.

Alpha, 1 small molar root alone, around RM2000. small molar cost more coz its small. includes x-ray excludes crown. many general dentists refer to Alpha for x-ray and complex cases.

based on normal scaling and polishing, the same price in JB without the wait, but with a jam.

bigger problems like root canal, if a young person without any medical incentive, head to JB.

consider to read the few pages here and make a wise decision based on time, budget, pain.:)

Root canal and crown Q&M quoted at least SGD 1.5k. Canal alone at least $700, depends on how curvey your tooth is. But then, QM is considered the upper end of dental in SG. Unfortunately being used to quality, convenient and last minute service, I have not experienced more budget dental care.

Now, due to budget, I must consider JB too. may I know, the tooth that received/is receiving the treatment for RM 1.2-2k is a molar?

Dental Clinic CH TEE
Root: RM800
Crown: RM800

July 2017, I did the above for that cost, for a small molar (next to a big molar).

Have you tried WhatsApp CH Tee clinic?

Tyvm! Yes I did WhatsApp but the recept is not a doctor, only willing to tell me they have x-ray not willing to elaborate on the ability to handle small molar.

Now the pain is gone... If it comes back will consult with TEE.

To contribute back, Indah area only a few have x-ray, I was referred by Tiew to Alpha. Canal alone about 2k RM. Still have to bear with a proud recept bordering on rude. Their dentists all master degree from Europe.

If anyone seeks a braces specialist, try Hong dental near Sentosa. There's the original and the free rider near each other. The experienced one is a level 2 clinic.
