just curious how do i go by going for dental while in NS ? be it wisdom tooth extraction , scaling , cleaning and etc.

Do I walk in to normal polyclinic?
Or straight to NDC ?

Ask the medical centre in your camp which dental centre is covering your camp.

Alternatively polyclinic dental centre. but not 100% free the last I heard.

normal polyclinic which provides dental services only takes in appointments unless it is an emergency. Similarly this applies to NDC too and their waiting time can be a year.

it is advisable for u to go to the SAF dental centers (i only know of Nee Soon and SAFTI MI) and u will need to call them directly to make an appointment. Approval from your direct supervisors are needed too.

For wisdom tooth extraction, you can actually make a appointment with the polyclinic. The Polyclinic will refer you to a hospital of your choice. Do note that the consultation fees with the polyclinic is not covered under 11B. The wisdom tooth surgery fees itself is covered though.

so in short i need to make my way to SAFTI MI for yearly check up on my teeth if i wanna do scaling and cleaning and etc? but i've to go thru my medical centre to make the arrangement for it .?

depends on which Dental Centre in charge of ur camp

no need to go thru your medical center as the booking system are independent from each other. You might only need to obtain the contact number from your medical center only, and need to make your own appointment but subjected to be granted Off-In-Lieu or Medical Appt by your unit.
