When my mum has passed on, my father was,very quiet. Maybe in his heart, he know it is a release for my mum from her torturing terminal illness.
My father is never his usual self anymore. Although he didn't express out his feeling, we (the children) can tell he has miss my mum companion.

Saw this quote and it touched me then. wanted to share with you. i had a good cry after reading it but felt a bit better after letting it out.

i think the pain would probably never fully go away, especially for us who have loved that person so much. just that the waves become a little wider and the peaks become a little further from each other as time goes by.
