When I was diagnosed, I was made to realize I was already like this all my life.

Depression is treatable: Many effective treatments are available, including therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.

It's not a sign of weakness: Depression is a medical condition, not a personal failing.

darkness is my bff. i owe him my life. he taught me how to be a better person and gave me optimism & solutions in life. darkness gave me lots time to reflect on my errors in life. it never blames me and accepts me for who i am

it's the so called light that gave me many problems in life. light has a big ego and refuses correction because it's blameless, spotless and pure. when you approach light, you become the problem. spotlights on you

Setting aside time to engage in activities, such as watching the sunrise, can help you feel restful and decrease stress. :ROFLMAO:

I also experienced severe depression 16 years ago when my fiancee of 7 years left me for another man. There was a massive void in my life that couldn't be filled.

I cheered myself up by exercising. Picked up kendo and hiking. Free dose of endorphins and you look better, sleep better.

Go to a cai png store, heck care the prices, choose the food that makes you happy. For me it's usually a giant steamed drumstick and two eggs with spinach. I picked up cooking and made healthy meals of the foods I liked.

Visit a library. Find one or two authors that are highly recommended. Read every single one of their books. Murakami got me through the 1 year I suffered withdrawal from not having a life partner.

Go wander around youtube or spotify. Find some inspirational videos, a new interest, discover new genres of music.

Jim Carrey has an excellent quote on depression: “I believe depression is legitimate. But I also believe that if you don't exercise, eat nutritious food, get sunlight, get enough sleep, consume positive material, surround yourself with support, then you aren't giving yourself a fighting chance.”

Better take your depression meds if its clinical depression and not just a regular mood swing. This kind of thing can be deadly.

For men, lack of purpose can cause depression.

Got supportive wives, feel more guilt of doing not enough.

Got dinobu, even worse.

Go study, go do volunteer work, go msg old friends may help. :(

i get recharged in dark places far more effectively than watching sunrise. you are attuned to yang. i'm naturally attuned to yin energies. i tried all these conventional wisdoms long ago. it's alright but i'm attuned to negative energies. so things like depression give me strength but happiness is wasted on me. i'm at my peak when i'm feeling down. since you belong to the light, it's probably impossible to comprehend what i'm saying. i actually work under stress very well. stress has the opposite effect on me. stress is like coffee and relaxation is like feeling depressed. total opposite

Retrenchment is nothing to be happy about. How can one be happy after being retrenched.
I feel you bro. We are on the same boat.
