Hi Bros, any gd lasting brand for serving, downloading n live streaming movies/sports only.

Going for desktop.Budget $1.5k to $2k TQ.

Had bad experience w Lenovo yoga laptop. Monitor spoil less than 3yrs.

$500 new mother board @ Paya Lebar centre

Usage 6hrs daily in between 2hrs comp power off.

Just get a Dell. But something like a monitor failing, etc, is all up to luck as well. So get a good warranty plan.

FYI, if you are serving/live streaming sports (acting as the server, not the consumer) you are putting yourself at high legal risk. Just FYI.

So, just to conclude, you are currently using laptop and the screen on laptop isnt working? Thus, you now want go into desktop? By monitor, do you mean external separate monitor or your laptop screen?

If u r adventurous enough, can source for lenovo screen in taobao and ownself change.

Heard tat desktop shld last longer than laptop.Thus buying brand new desktop package.

Now using tv monitor.Intend to discard this laptop soon.

I don't have a brand in mind. Likely you are looking at AMD Ryzen 2200g or 2400g with 4x2GB Ram. That is enough for what you use. If you are not into DIY parts, you could either just get a Dell/ Acer. Another alternative is to look in HWZ forums for SLS price list. Download a few of them check them out. They do offer custom builds for your needs.

So you meant laptop screen spoil less than 3 years la? Now laptop still can use but must use external monitor, fixing it is to pay $500 to replace laptop motherboard?

Desktop has an equal chance of spoiling earlier, same time or later than your laptop.
