Desktop hangs without BSOD

Hi there,

For the past two mornings, when I start up my computer, it loads to Windows just fine, and then it hangs. There is no BSOD or anything. When I do a hard reset, the computer ends up in a boot loop (i.e. fans run for 3 seconds then stop, run for 3 seconds then stop). I have to off and on the mains and everything starts as per normal.

What could be wrong? My rig specs are on the right, except I have added a new SSD (Evo 850 500GB) last Sunday.

Nothing is logged in the event viewer.

Disconnect all drives except the OS drive and see if hang?
If no issue, slowly connect back the drive one by one to test out.

It happens to me too after updating Windows 10 64-bit Pro, I press Crtl+Alt+Del keys and restart my PC and it started to boot back normally.

Your OS is on the new SSD ? If yes and you still have the old drive with OS, try boot from your old drive. If the freezing goes away, then SSD is the culprit.

check and confirm your sata connection is set to AHCI. Sometimes replacing SSD will cause the bios to default the sata connection to IDE mode. Not sure why.

Thanks all. The problem is rather random so not sure what is the issue. So far I've remounted the USB 3 front header (it was abit loose) and installed the latest version of Intel RST. Let's see if it happens again tomorrow morning...
