Hi, I have a rig that I assembled myself about over a year ago. Powers on and works fine whenever I keep the power socket switched on. Sometimes when I switch off the power socket at night and turn it back on the next morning, I am unable to power on the desktop. I will need to switch off the power socket and come back to try again after awhile. Any idea on what could be the cause? Or any shop I can bring the desktop to for servicing?

I had a fairly similar situation awhile back as well.
When I press the power button, it takes awhile for the power to actually kick in.
But like what the other's mention, it's the PSU issue.

Power button failed, can try to jump start with screwdriver or test pen else. YouTube video can find it.
Another is PSU failed.

Did you overclock? May have problem with booting if OC is unstable. Check your ram as well.

Just got a replacement unit for the PSU, still getting the same problem. No overclocking done. Could it be the ram/mobo?

Unplug all your external devices and try again. Sometimes USB devices can cause weird behaviour like this.
