Desktop Upgrade Help

Hi below is my current specs of 5 years, my graphic card is giving me problem when i play games the screen will turn black but will still have sound in the background. May i ask for recommendation to upgrade it? thank you

cpu:Intel core2quad Q9550

gpu:Gigabyte geforce 9800gt 512mb

The ODD beter check. I believe when i open many old pcs that are core 2 era their ODD is an IDE connections not SATA. So best is to check first.

OS make sure its Win 7 64bit, partly as XP no longer has any more support. Also it could also utilize the 8gb.

If all this are fine $115 can be saved and dump it into a better GPU.

Can go for Palit GTX760 2gb Jetstream or if you top up a couple of bucks could land you a high overclocked gtx760 as such as the Zotac gtx760 2gb AMP!

you see google. IDE connector and SATA connector different de.

If thats the case TS, i did saw a powercolor 7870 myst a few days back at bizgram. Only 1 stock left in the whole of SLS. If you can manage to get this stock you are the lucky one. $295 flat. See can haggle for a free batman, since my friend the other time managed to get it lol.

And they also make murtabak Zotac GTX 760 AMP! jumped to $410.
