True what you said about the choice of stay depending on our personalities.

I only wish the cost of renting bikes is not so expensive. Would be great to travel all around the island at any time i wish. That being said, i do find Boracay an idyllic island relative to other more established, commercialised beach holidays.

Me and my friends did the mistake of renting those bikes, costed us about $80 for 24 hours, it was spontaneous, we just did it.

The adventures were great, i got to see most beaches of the island, puka shell and punta bunga beach, less crowded,see the residents of boracay and houses.

But parking was terrible, we had to do it at some grasspatch, traffic was slow, congested with other vehicles, in addition to that you'll be stuck in traffic under the scorching sun for awhile, i don't think you'd wanna do that.

Save your bike riding for countries like indonesia or thailand islands, where it's cheaper and less congested.

I paid 2100 pesos for 24hrs. Roughly works out to about $60SGD. No doubt that is still alot of money.

I am fine with the terrain, traffic and weather. Very similar to what we will experience in Thai/Indo. Maybe partly bcoz i ride daily to work. Wife simply loves to be a pillion without helmet.

I would only recommend Boracay to those who only wanna lepak at a picturesque beach all day long.

In Boracay now. No rain. Nothing much here except for the beautiful beaches. Beats those in Phuket, Bali, Krabi mann. Very beautiful.

Apart from the beaches, nothing else. Small island. Renting bike is so expensive!

No it is not. If u hated Phuket, u would love Boracay. But do note that the nightlife pales in comparison to Phuket.

White Beach is relatively short actually. It's not really that crowded.

I really love Boracay! Spend your Xmas there and have fun! It's beautiful and very friendly people!
