Very few chips do 4.1, many (including mine) hit a wall at around 4.025, 4.050 GHz where it becomes really difficult to stabilize despite throwing crazy voltages at it.
Your chip isn't one of the "golden" ones, but it doesn't necessarily suck either. How much voltage do you need for 4.0?
i have a 1600x, i tried 1.425v @ 4.1.. start game instant blackout.
use other serious software to stress test ... if "game-able" only .... it may corrupt your data in the weeks

sad to see the lower priced 1600 can outperform my chip.
How did you set your overclock? Screenshot your Bios? What other things have you set? RAM any overclock?
u didnt recieve bad ryzen. ryzen received a bad user.

Last time your VRM temps mentioned on the other thread already in the 90s under 1.3V iirc? You have any fan next to VRM to lower its temps?
i set it on ryzen master, adjusted vcore and clockspeed.
For the bios, i have enabled xmp for rams running at 2933MHz, turned off cool and quiet.
The rest are default settings.
Turn off your XMP settings first and get your correct CPU clock speed first. Check if you can run 4ghz with the RAM running at stock speed.
Go into BIOS and set your Vcore and your clock speed. Then stress test using other applications such as Aida64.

Just run 2133mhz first. See if it is a problem. When you do OC, just set everything to default and OC your cpu frequency first. Not unless you know what you are doing and you know your PC hardware well.

The reason why i used software to OC is because my asrock mobo doesn't recover from fail OC at all and everytime it fails i need to remove battery which is located under my h212 heatsink.
Then high likely would be your RAM preventing you to boot up again. As mentioned before, only do CPU OC first. Then only do your RAM later.
