hmmmmmmmm ok maybe extreme is too strong a word.
Maybe "out of the norm" candidates then. We have Reform Party's candidates twice blurting out "vote for (other party)", we have HHH's rally speech with Leong Sze Hian taking up more than time than HHH. We have Ravi and Roy whose youtube video is still in the internet.
This time round CSJ is focus on policy and improving the life of the people vis-a-vis the other oppositions whose campaign focus is on "We are not PAP".
Maybe this is how you see the credibility of the opposition bah.
No doubt this time the SDP is quite prepared.
The reform party's "vote for the other party" thing i just put it down to a mistake nia haha. Speak too fast before the brain can catch up. Public speaking not easy leh haha.
For HHH, while i do not doubt her intentions - people her age generally quite idealist one - she is in no way ready to run a campaign. Commendable that she is willing to stand out for her beliefs lar but she cannot be taken seriously as a candidate now.
As for the campaign focus on "We are not the PAP" i also don't think it is such a good idea lar. In front of an enlightened electorate, it will not hold ground. But hor what it does is inflame the embers of discontent people might have against the PAP which might translate to votes. I don't really hold much expectation that opposition might gain any ground this GE but we shall see haha.
