So long you have

1. Internet to enable locations services

2 , a tourist Alipay APP and

3 besides you are able to provide your last 4 digit sg telco number when the drivers ask for your details,

i don't see there is a need to subscribe a china SIM card

In short, use Didi from Alipay app works, even if you key in a SG number.

My alipay is tagged with an OCBC credit card. Exchange rate is something like 5.21 though.

Wonder whether anyone has experience making advance booking using Didi or could advise on a reliable platform to make advance taxi or car booking. I would like to make advance booking to avoid waiting indefinteky for car/taxi during peak evening hours . Thanks

Didi is abundant in China, rarely have to wait for more than 10mins inclusive dropping previous pax off.
Similar to Grab, there's a time selection on the bottom left in Didi's booking page.

Thanks great to hear this. My previous booking didi experience in 2019, Beijing was bad, wait time could be 30 min with taxis cancelling at last minute. This wa during peak hours, 5.30- 7.00

That's unfortunate, personally have not experienced such long waits before at all.

Was wonder if anyone experience this. Recently came back from china, used DIDI quite alot any realized that besides the actual fare, there's always another transaction that comes with that....smth like RMB 12-14. Not toll fare as that was added in the actual fare already.
